Confined Space Entry
A confined space is a space with limited entry and is not suitable for human entry. An example of this is the interior of a storage tank which needs to be occasionally entered by maintenance workers but not intended for human occupancy. We teach you how to do this safely and make you aware of any hazards. This course is available for low to Medium Risk and/or High Risk jobs.
Confined Space Rescue
Confined spaces are often narrow and constricting and can prevent easy access by rescuers. They are usually either unlit or poorly lit, so rescuers must provide their own light source. A confined space is large enough for an employee to enter and work but it has limited or restricted means of entry and exit this means that it is not designed for continuous occupancy. We inform you on the dangers and how to prevent them in your workplace.
Working at height
Work at height means working in any place where precautions are not taken could lead to a person falling a distance which could cause life threatening injury. You are working at height if you work above ground or floor level, could fall from an edge, through an opening or fragile surface. We educate you on the dangers and the safety equipment required for working at height to ensure you and your employees are safe.
Manual handling
Manual handling is the moving of items either by lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing or pulling. Employers are required to manage the risks to their employees. Because of this we provide information on the hazards that are associated with manual handling and stress the importance of correct manual handling In order to prevent and reduce the risk of injury to anyone in your workplace.
Emergency First Aid
Emergency first aid is emergency care or treatment given to an injured person before regular medical aid is available. It is first response care to any medical emergency and is so important as it can be lifesaving in an emergency .We educate you on the important aims for first aid such as preserve life preventing injury from becoming worse, relieve pain if possible and protect the unconscious.
First Aid at Work
This allows a first-aider to give emergency first aid care to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work. We cover a range of CPR and first aid skills, providing you with the skills to ensure a safe working environment. We stress the importance of first aid at work because it could be lifesaving to anyone who may require this emergency aid on your workplace.
Paediatric First Aid
Paediatric First Aid is the immediate care given to a child who has been injured, or who has become ill prior to the arrival of qualified medical assistance. This course is strongly recommended if you work with children. This course teaches you how to be a first responder to children in need of medical attention, this course is necessary as it could potentially save a child’s life.
Fire Marshal / Warden
Fire Marshals or Wardens are nominated people will need to assist with fire fighting, fire detection, evacuation, and provide fire safety assistance. The important role that fire wardens play in ensuring your business is prepared for a fire emergency should not be underestimated. We will help you with your emergency plan this is an important risk control measure to ensure that your workplace is prepared for an emergency situation.
Fire Extinguisher
We offer fire extinguisher courses which include information on Class A extinguishers which put out fires in ordinary combustibles such as wood and paper. Class B extinguishers which are used on flammable liquids like grease, gasoline and oil. And Class C extinguishers which are suitable for use only on electrically energized fires. We also educate you on how to prevent these fires and any other equipment you should have in your workplace.
